Anointed is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of CeCe Winans and The Tony Rich Project. Those roots explain a lot about how Anointed arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Out Of Eden, BeBe Winans, Tonéx, Helen Baylor and Men Of Standard, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into CeCe Winans, George Duke, Vickie Winans, Crystal Lewis and Michael W. Smith, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 31 connections around Anointed, reaching back through CeCe Winans and forward to CeCe Winans.
