Bravo is a Ska act. Their sound grew out of Melodiya, Secret, Antis, The Beatles and Mashina Vremeni. Those roots explain a lot about how Bravo arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mark Bernes, Los Abuelos de la Nada, La Máquina de Hacer Pájaros, Mumiy Troll and Kino, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Serhii Babkin, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 15 connections around Bravo, reaching back through Melodiya and forward to Serhii Babkin.
