Clouds
Clouds is a Folk act. Their sound grew out of Ras G. Those roots explain a lot about how Clouds arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as X CLUB., Daylight Dies, Mall Grab, Skin On Skin and My Dying Bride, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into King Crimson, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 7 connections around Clouds, reaching back through Ras G and forward to King Crimson. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
Background
In meteorology, a cloud is an aerosol consisting of a visible mass of miniature liquid droplets, ice crystals, or other particles, suspended in the atmosphere of a planetary body or similar space. Water, primarily, comprises the droplets and crystals. On Earth, clouds are formed as a result of saturation of the air when it is cooled to its dew point, or when it gains sufficient moisture, usually in the form of water vapor, from an adjacent source to raise the dew point to the ambient temperature.
