DDT

Indie rock
Indie rockRap

DDT is a Indie rock and Rap act. Their sound grew out of Kino and Sergey Letov. Those roots explain a lot about how DDT arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Чиж & Co, Nautilus Pompilius, Ю-Питер, 7Б and Zемфира, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Alisa and Viktor Tsoi, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 11 connections around DDT, reaching back through Kino and forward to Alisa. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
