Hardcore punk

Driller Killer is a Hardcore punk act. Their sound grew out of Extreme Noise Terror and Discharge. Those roots explain a lot about how Driller Killer arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Extreme Noise Terror, Aus-Rotten, Disclose, G.I.S.M. and All Pigs Must Die, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Impaled Nazarene, Extreme Noise Terror and Disfear, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 10 connections around Driller Killer, reaching back through Extreme Noise Terror and forward to Impaled Nazarene. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
