Ely Guerra

Ely Guerra is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Enrique Bunbury, Juanes, Gustavo Santaolalla, Chavela Vargas and Julieta Venegas. Those roots explain a lot about how Ely Guerra arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Santa Sabina, La Barranca, Plastilina Mosh, El Gran Silencio and Kinky, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Natalia Lafourcade, Natalia y La Forquetina, Inspector, Julieta Venegas and Kinky, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 29 connections around Ely Guerra, reaching back through Enrique Bunbury and forward to Natalia Lafourcade. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
