Eskobar is a Indie rock act. Their sound grew out of Heather Nova and The Wannadies. Those roots explain a lot about how Eskobar arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Gyllene Tider, Lisa Nilsson, Shout Out Louds, Joakim Berg and I Am Kloot, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Heather Nova and Joey Tempest, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 14 connections around Eskobar, reaching back through Heather Nova and forward to Heather Nova.
