Francisco Tárrega

Francisco Tárrega is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Dionisio Aguado y García and Isaac Albéniz. Those roots explain a lot about how Francisco Tárrega arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Leo Brouwer, Joaquín Rodrigo, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Enrique Granados and Frédéric Chopin, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Julian Bream, Ruggiero Ricci, Marco Misciagna, Django Reinhardt and Leo Brouwer, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 25 connections around Francisco Tárrega, reaching back through Dionisio Aguado y García and forward to Julian Bream. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
