Gloriana is a Country act. Their sound grew out of Big & Rich, The Civil Wars, Tyler Hilton and Brett James. Those roots explain a lot about how Gloriana arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Lady Antebellum, Thompson Square, Morgan Wade, Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Taylor Swift, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 22 connections around Gloriana, reaching back through Big & Rich and forward to Taylor Swift.
