Maanam is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Blondie, Nina Hagen and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Those roots explain a lot about how Maanam arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Bajm, Wanda i Banda, T.Love, Dżem and Kombi, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Justyna Steczkowska, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 22 connections around Maanam, reaching back through Blondie and forward to Justyna Steczkowska.
