Microwave

Microwave is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Just Friends and Origami Angel. Those roots explain a lot about how Microwave arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Movements, Hot Mulligan, Have Mercy, Citizen and Prince Daddy & The Hyena, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Altogether the chart holds 15 connections around Microwave, reaching back through Just Friends. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.

Background

Microwave is a form of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths shorter than other radio waves but longer than infrared waves. Its wavelength ranges from about one meter to one millimeter, corresponding to frequencies between 300 MHz and 300 GHz, broadly construed. A more common definition in radio-frequency engineering is the range between 1 and 100 GHz, or between 1 and 3000 GHz. In all cases, microwaves include the entire super high frequency (SHF) band at minimum. The boundaries between far infrared, terahertz radiation, microwaves, and ultra-high-frequency (UHF) are fairly arbitrary and differ between different fields of study.
