Mikey Spice

Mikey Spice is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Freddie McGregor and Barry White. Those roots explain a lot about how Mikey Spice arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as George Nooks, Pam Hall, Junior Tucker, Glen Washington and Richie Stephens, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Marcia Griffiths, Twiggy, Shaggy, Red Fox and Garnett Silk, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation.
