Pig & Dan is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Oliver Koletzki. Those roots explain a lot about how Pig & Dan arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Pan-Pot, Sam Paganini, Yan Cook, Len Faki and UMEK, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Deep Dish and Avicii, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 18 connections around Pig & Dan, reaching back through Oliver Koletzki and forward to Paul van Dyk. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
