Transglobal Underground is a World music act. Their sound grew out of The High Kings, Natacha Atlas, Jah Wobble's Invaders of the Heart, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Those roots explain a lot about how Transglobal Underground arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Talvin Singh, The Orb, Jah Wobble's Invaders of the Heart, Balkan Beat Box and Beats Antique, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Youth and Dreadzone, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 23 connections around Transglobal Underground, reaching back through The High Kings and forward to Youth.
