Deichkind started with hip hop, later added elements of electronic dance music to its style. The band themselves call their music TechRap as a combination of techno and rap music. SDP, an abbreviation of Stonedeafproduction, is a German pop/hip hop duo made up of singer and producer Vincent Stein and singer and guitarist Dag-Alexis Kopplin. The duo is signed to the Berliner Plattenbau label.

Juli is a German alternative pop band from Gießen, Hessen, consisting of singer Eva Briegel, guitarists Jonas Pfetzing and Simon Triebel, bassist Andreas "Dedi" Herde and drummer Marcel Römer. The band was formed with this lineup from the band Sunnyglade in 2001.

Marius Hubertus Hans Müller-Westernhagen is a German musician and actor. He has been a feature in German rock music since the mid-1970s. Müller-Westernhagen is known for his energetic public concerts, and his fans know his anthem-like songs by heart. Though written a few years earlier, his song "Freiheit" ("Freedom") is widely considered as an anthem of the German Reunification. Since the late 1980s, he has also been known mononymously as Westernhagen.
