Jive Records is an American record label owned by Sony Music Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Sony. Clive Calder originally founded the label in 1981 as a subsidiary of the Zomba Group. In the US, the label had offices in New York City and Chicago. Jive was best known for its successes with hip hop, R&B, and dance acts in the 1980s and 1990s, along with teen pop and boy bands during the late 1990s and early 2000s, including most famously Britney Spears.

Immature is an American R&B boy band, managed by record producer Chris Stokes. Its members include Marques "Batman" Houston, Jerome "Romeo" Jones, and Kelton "LDB" Kessee, all natives of Los Angeles, where the group was formed. The group released four albums under the Immature moniker: On Our Worst Behavior, Playtyme Is Over (1994), We Got It (1995) and The Journey (1997).

Jeremy Lemont Saunders, better known by his stage name 2 Pistols, is an American rapper. After the local success of his independent single "Dirty Foot", he signed a record deal with Universal Republic Records in 2007. In January 2008, he released his debut single, "She Got It", which peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song preceded his debut studio album, Death Before Dishonor (2008), which saw moderate critical and commercial reception and no further mainstream recognition with its follow–ups.
