They were created by The Music Project, a stage school specialising in music, art, games and media, in April 2018 after their tutor placed them in the same project group, and within a year they signed with Island Records. They released their debut album, How Beautiful Life Can Be, on 24 September 2021. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart on 1 October 2021.

Band of Skulls are an English rock band from Southampton, Hampshire. The band was founded in 2002 by vocalist and guitarist Russell Marsden, vocalist and bassist Emma Richardson and drummer Matt Hayward. The group formed after meeting in college, although Marsden and Hayward had been friends since high school. Following the respective departures of Hayward in 2017 and Richardson in 2022, Marsden has continued on under the moniker as a solo project. Band of Skulls have released five studio albums, the most recent of which was Love Is All You Love in April 2019.

DMA's are an Australian rock band formed in 2012 in Sydney, New South Wales. The band is composed of lead vocalist Tommy O'Dell, lead guitarist Matt Mason, and rhythm guitarist Johnny Took. They originally gained popularity for their debut single "Delete" and for their self-titled EP, which were both released in 2014. The band have since gone on to release four studio albums: Hills End (2016), For Now (2018), The Glow (2020) and How Many Dreams? (2023). All four albums have peaked within the top 10 of the ARIA Albums Chart, with the latter two also reaching the top five in the UK and Scotland.

Louis XIV is an American rock band from San Diego, California. The band released four EPs between 2003 and 2007, and three albums between 2003 and 2008, the latter two of which were distributed by Atlantic Records. The band broke up in 2009, but in 2013, in an interview with The Reno Dispatch, Jason Hill confirmed that the band had decided to reunite. The band broke up later that year. They reunited again in 2020 and released the single "Playtime," their first new song in 12 years. They then continued touring, playing shows in small clubs throughout the early-mid 2020s. In March 2026, they released the single "STATUES."

The Cinematics were a Scottish alternative rock band founded in 2003 in Glasgow, Scotland, and disbanded in 2011. The band released two albums, A Strange Education (2007) and Love and Terror (2009), as well as a five-track EP, "Silent Scream EP" (2010), but disbanded in the middle of recording their third album. The band consisted of Scott Rinning, Ramsay Miller, Adam Goemans and Ross Bonney with Larry Reid joining the band in 2008.
