Her first full-length album in four years since Future Nostalgia (2020), Radical Optimism was produced by Tame Impala founder Kevin Parker, Danny L Harle, Ian Kirkpatrick, and Andrew Wyatt. The album was supported by four singles, "Houdini", "Training Season", "Illusion", and "End of an Era", with the first three peaked within the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart and the top 15 of the Billboard Global 200.
