The 2nd LawartistThe 2nd Law is the sixth studio album by the English rock band Muse. It was first released on 28 September 2012 in Europe, 1 October 2012 in the United Kingdom, and on 2 October 2012 in North America through Warner Bros. Records and the band's own Helium-3 imprint. Recording took place in studios between London and Los Angeles County, beginning in October 2011 and ending in August 2012. The 2nd Law was Muse's second album to be solely self-produced by the band, following The Resistance (2009). It features additional musicians that performed brass, strings, and choir vocals.

The album was preceded by the single "Friends Turbo" released on 15 April 2011, the second single "The Only One", released on 20 May 2011, a third single, "David Doesn't Eat", released on the same day as the album itself. The fourth single, "C'est Bleu" featuring Vicky Leandros, was released on 2 December 2011. On 23 March 2012 a new version of "It's a Biz " is released as the fifth single.

Classified as a "genre-defying musician", he achieved international recognition with his songs "Life Goes On" in 2021 and "Miss You" in 2022. Tree released his second studio album, Cowboy Tears, in February 2022; his third studio album, Alone in a Crowd, in September 2023; and his fourth studio album, Love You Madly Hate You Badly, in April 2026.
