◇ image via WikipediaAntisect
Antisect is a Hardcore punk act. Their sound grew out of Discharge, Rise Above Records and Flux of Pink Indians. Those roots explain a lot about how Antisect arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Extreme Noise Terror, Driller Killer, Aus-Rotten, Disclose and G.I.S.M., sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Gallhammer and Lee Dorrian, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 12 connections around Antisect, reaching back through Discharge and forward to Napalm Death. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
