Apollo Brown

Apollo Brown is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Declaime. Those roots explain a lot about how Apollo Brown arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as 9th Wonder, DJ Muggs, Statik Selektah, Kno and Ras Kass, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Planet Asia, Ghostface Killah, Rapper Big Pooh, Westside Gunn and Locksmith, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Apollo Brown, reaching back through Declaime and forward to Planet Asia. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
