Biga Ranx

Biga Ranx is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Super Cat, Alton Ellis and Vybz Kartel. Those roots explain a lot about how Biga Ranx arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Stand High Patrol, Naâman, Blundetto, Big Red and Skarra Mucci, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Mungo's Hi Fi, Joseph Cotton, Chinese Man, Aphrodite and Calle 13, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Biga Ranx, reaching back through Super Cat and forward to Mungo's Hi Fi. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
