Brainpower is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Jean Grae, John Holt, Ultramagnetic MC's, Candy Dulfer and Nas. Those roots explain a lot about how Brainpower arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Partysquad, Diggy Dex, Gers Pardoel, Extince and Ronnie Flex, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Kis-My-Ft2 and Eva Simons, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 25 connections around Brainpower, reaching back through Jean Grae and forward to Kis-My-Ft2.
