Charlie Daniels Band is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Leonard Cohen and The Youngbloods. Those roots explain a lot about how Charlie Daniels Band arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as John Anderson, Confederate Railroad, Toby Keith, Conway Twitty and George Strait, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into David Allan Coe, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Charlie Daniels Band, reaching back through Elvis Presley and forward to David Allan Coe.
