Currents is a Contemporary R&B and Psychedelic rock act. Their catalogue also touches Synth-pop. Their sound grew out of Thrice, Holy Fawn, Oathbreaker, Loathe and Balance and Composure. Those roots explain a lot about how Currents arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Fit For A King, Wage War, The Plot in You, Boundaries and Thornhill, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Altogether the chart holds 17 connections around Currents, reaching back through Thrice. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
