Dikembe is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Empire! Empire!, Pet Symmetry and You Blew It!. They run in the same orbit as Glocca Morra, Snowing, saturdays at your place, The Hotelier and Tigers Jaw, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Hotelier, Modern Baseball, Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate), Pet Symmetry and Prince Daddy & The Hyena, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 18 connections around Dikembe, reaching back through Empire! Empire! and forward to The Hotelier.
