Dreamhouse is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Four Seasons and Hoyt Axton. Those roots explain a lot about how Dreamhouse arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Yours Truly, Halflives, Dream State, Carolina Liar and Jimmy Eat World, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Rednex, Cher, Enrique Iglesias and James Bay, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 20 connections around Dreamhouse, reaching back through The Four Seasons and forward to Rednex. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
