Contemporary R&B

Ego is a Contemporary R&B act. Their sound grew out of Cobhams Asuquo, Lagbaja and Carl Douglas. Those roots explain a lot about how Ego arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Kali, Grammatik, Nimo, Abradab and Liroy, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Altogether the chart holds 18 connections around Ego, reaching back through Cobhams Asuquo. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
