Eir Aoi is a J-pop act. Their sound grew out of Cö shu Nie, Evanescence, Slipknot and Do As Infinity. Those roots explain a lot about how Eir Aoi arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Luna Haruna, ZAQ, GARNiDELiA, Sora Amamiya and Egoist, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into FictionJunction, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 19 connections around Eir Aoi, reaching back through Cö shu Nie and forward to FictionJunction.
