Fancy is a Electropop act. Their sound grew out of Linda Jo Rizzo and The Spencer Davis Group. Those roots explain a lot about how Fancy arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mike Mareen, Ken Laszlo, Radiorama, Patty Ryan and Savage, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Les Binks, E-Rotic, Beastie Boys and Judas Priest, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 31 connections around Fancy, reaching back through Linda Jo Rizzo and forward to Les Binks.
