Getter is a Dubstep and Trap act. Their sound grew out of Datsik, Oliver Tree, Far East Movement, Timbaland and Mac Dre. Those roots explain a lot about how Getter arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Zomboy, Borgore, Kill the Noise, Zeds Dead and Skrillex, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Kayzo, Borgore, Ghastly, Jauz and Modestep, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Getter, reaching back through Datsik and forward to Kayzo.
