Hamilton Bohannon

Hamilton Bohannon is a Disco and Funk act. Their sound grew out of Jimi Hendrix. Those roots explain a lot about how Hamilton Bohannon arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Nite-Liters, Captain Sky, Ritchie Family, David Joseph and The Players Association, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Snoop Dogg, Steinski, Mary J. Blige, Johnny Marr and Paul Johnson, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 26 connections around Hamilton Bohannon, reaching back through Jimi Hendrix and forward to Snoop Dogg. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
