Smooth, Brand Nubian and Guru, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ladi6, TWENTY88, Jeru the Damaja, Guru and Camp Lo, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 49 connections around Digable Planets, reaching back through Bobbi Humphrey and forward to Ladi6. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
