Hans Zimmer

Hans Zimmer is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Junkie XL, Djivan Gasparyan, Andreas Vollenweider, Luiz Bonfá and Electronica 2: The Heart of Noise. Those roots explain a lot about how Hans Zimmer arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Ramin Djawadi, Harry Gregson-Williams, John Williams, Klaus Badelt and Steven Price, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Epica, Eric Whitacre, Ramin Djawadi, Trevor Morris and Syn Cole, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 31 connections around Hans Zimmer, reaching back through Junkie XL and forward to Epica. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
