I Muvrini is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Filippos Pliatsikas. Those roots explain a lot about how I Muvrini arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Les Négresses Vertes, Idir, Amadou & Mariam, Ismaël Lô and Souad Massi, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Grand Corps Malade, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 14 connections around I Muvrini, reaching back through Filippos Pliatsikas and forward to Grand Corps Malade.
