JKT48 is a J-pop act. Their sound grew out of AKB48 Group, Koi Suru Fortune Cookie, Flying Get, Kaze wa Fuiteiru and Skirt, Hirari. Those roots explain a lot about how JKT48 arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as RAN, AKB48, Sheila on 7, Wali and peterpan, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into BNK48 and CGM48, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 22 connections around JKT48, reaching back through AKB48 Group and forward to BNK48.
