JO1

J-pop

JO1 is a J-pop act. Their sound grew out of BTS, Bang Chan, Stray Kids, Han and Wanna One. Those roots explain a lot about how JO1 arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as NiziU, E-girls, Exile, NCT Wish and Little Glee Monster, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Yoasobi, NiziU and INI, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 23 connections around JO1, reaching back through BTS and forward to Yoasobi. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
