Kaskade is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Amtrac, Dirty South, David Morales, Dada Life and The Moth & the Flame. Those roots explain a lot about how Kaskade arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Morgan Page, deadmau5, John Summit, Eric Prydz and Alesso, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into deadmau5, Galantis, John Dahlbäck, Tiësto and Charlotte Lawrence, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 51 connections around Kaskade, reaching back through Amtrac and forward to deadmau5. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
