Keys N Krates is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Ambré and J Dilla. Those roots explain a lot about how Keys N Krates arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as TroyBoi, RL Grime, What So Not, Aero Chord and Jack Ü, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Diplo, TNGHT and Major Lazer, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 17 connections around Keys N Krates, reaching back through Ambré and forward to Diplo. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
