TNGHT is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Keys N Krates. Those roots explain a lot about how TNGHT arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Lunice, RL Grime, What So Not, Keys N Krates and TroyBoi, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Captain Murphy, Kanye West, Baauer and I Am Not a Human Being II, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 19 connections around TNGHT, reaching back through Keys N Krates and forward to Captain Murphy. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
