Doom metal

Khemmis is a Doom metal act. Their sound grew out of Alice in Chains and Ronnie James Dio. Those roots explain a lot about how Khemmis arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Pallbearer, Green Lung, Castle Rat, Baroness and Ahab, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Altogether the chart holds 10 connections around Khemmis, reaching back through Alice in Chains. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
