Launder is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Beach Fossils, Pinkshinyultrablast, The Bilinda Butchers, Hibou and Acid Ghost. Those roots explain a lot about how Launder arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Grazer, Surf Rock is Dead, Atmos Bloom, ARVERNE and DIIV, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Craft Spells, Foxes in Fiction, Film School, Cathedral Bells and Slow Pulp, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 33 connections around Launder, reaching back through Beach Fossils and forward to Craft Spells. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
