Lea Salonga is a Classical and Contemporary R&B act. Their catalogue also touches Pop and Rhythm and blues. Their sound grew out of Stevie Wonder, Menudo, Il Divo and Glen Ballard. Those roots explain a lot about how Lea Salonga arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Idina Menzel, Alan Menken, Zac Efron, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Jessica Darrow, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Nadine Beiler and Alexandre Pires, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 13 connections around Lea Salonga, reaching back through Stevie Wonder and forward to Nadine Beiler.
