Drum and bass

London Elektricity is a Drum and bass act. Their sound grew out of Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, Led Zeppelin, Gil Evans and Danny Byrd. Those roots explain a lot about how London Elektricity arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as High Contrast, Makoto, Calibre, Krakota and Lenzman, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Gentleman's Dub Club, Danny Byrd, DJ Marky, Makoto and High Contrast, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 25 connections around London Elektricity, reaching back through Kraftwerk and forward to Gentleman's Dub Club.
