Meduza

Meduza is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Goodboys. Those roots explain a lot about how Meduza arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Imanbek, Jax Jones, Sonny Fodera, Alesso and Yves V, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Paradise, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 26 connections around Meduza, reaching back through Goodboys and forward to Paradise. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.

Background

Meduza is an Italian house music production group consisting of three members: Luca de Gregorio, Mattia Vitale and Simone Giani. They are best known for their 2019 breakthrough songs "Piece of Your Heart", which was a collaboration with British production trio Goodboys and "Lose Control" which was also a collaboration with Goodboys and British singer Becky Hill. "Piece of Your Heart" reached number two on the UK Singles Chart upon release, and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
