Porno Graffitti is a J-pop act. Their sound grew out of Ayaka and Extreme. Those roots explain a lot about how Porno Graffitti arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Flow, UVERworld, Mr.Children, T.M.Revolution and NICO Touches the Walls, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into High and Mighty Color, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 14 connections around Porno Graffitti, reaching back through Ayaka and forward to High and Mighty Color.
