Ricochet is a Electronic act. Their sound grew out of George Strait, Tracy Lawrence, Vince Gill, Diamond Rio and Doug Stone. Those roots explain a lot about how Ricochet arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Comeback Kid, Dag Nasty, Defeater, Bane and Void, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Montgomery Gentry, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 18 connections around Ricochet, reaching back through George Strait and forward to Montgomery Gentry.
