They run in the same orbit as Don Drummond, Tommy McCook & The Supersonics, Derrick Morgan, Tommy McCook and Lord Tanamo, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Bob Marley and The Skatalites, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 29 connections around Roland Alphonso, reaching back through Sonia Pottinger and forward to Bob Marley.
