Sammie is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of YoungBloodz, Pleasure P, It's Time and Stevie Wonder. Those roots explain a lot about how Sammie arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Marques Houston, Verse Simmonds, Lyfe Jennings, Dru Hill and Pleasure P, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ray J, Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Tank and Omarion, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 41 connections around Sammie, reaching back through YoungBloodz and forward to Ray J. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
