Shay
Shay is a Afrobeat and Trap act. Their sound grew out of Alan Jackson, Tabu Ley Rochereau, Brooks & Dunn, Ryan Adams and Tom Petty. Those roots explain a lot about how Shay arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Laylow, Nekfeu, Zaho, Nej and Lomepal, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Altogether the chart holds 18 connections around Shay, reaching back through Alan Jackson. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
